Cells

I have chosen to turn my attention to cells as they have a large connection to geometry due to their typically circular shape. I am going to study an artist that looks at cells and explores different ways in which cells can be represented and maybe in a more abstract style. I think that this focus then allows me to move more towards the human form and how much nature has to do with our bodies and what goes on both inside and out. Below I have briefly explored the use of ink and how it can be manipulated in order to create shapes and patterns representative of cells. Although the shapes and representation is strong I do not feel as though this technique would be something that I would use further along the course as there isn't enough contrast and variation in the pieces, although there is a possibility I may re-visit this as a base for a background.
